The team of the project "Cross-Border Cooperation in Forest Fire Fighting" co-funded by the EU through the INTERREG - IPA Programme between the Republic of Bulgaria – the Republic of North Macedonia held its third partner meeting in the town of Sandanski.
The project partners discussed and determined the next steps of the project activities - the active and ongoing information campaign to promote volunteering and the one to prevent forest fires. The holding of specialized training for representatives of municipal territorial fire-fighting units and voluntary formations - members of the cross-border network for prevention and response to natural and environmental hazards (3 trainings in MK and 3 trainings in BG) was also discussed. The supply of personal protective equipment, protective clothing, and other firefighting equipment and gear is commented on.
